Wood-firing is a very labor intensive process. It take 2-3 days to load the kiln and 4-5 days to fire it, stoking around the clock. Most of my work is unglazed on the outside, relying on the wood ash and flame to create the surface. Each firing is completely different giving every piece a unique sense of time and place.
All work is food, dishwasher and microwave safe though I recommend hand washing.
